About Hamster Kombat
Hamster Kombat is a viral phenomenon that launched in March 2024 as a Telegram mini-app. At its core, it’s a clicker (or “tapper”) game that simulates a cryptocurrency exchange.
In the relatively short time since its launch, the game has amassed over 300 million users, 35 million YouTube subscribers, and 12 million Twitter followers, making it the “fastest-growing digital service of our time,” according to Telegram founder Pavel Durov.
To increase their winnings, players regularly follow the daily Hamster Kombat numbers and combos, which earn them free coins. These daily challenges can yield significant rewards if completed consistently.
When the game’s official HMSTR token launches on September 26, players who collect in-game currency will receive a distribution of tokens based (at least partially) on their in-game balance.
HMSTR Token
The official Hamster Kombat will carry the HMSTR brand name. While the HMSTR token is not yet available, some cryptocurrency exchanges allow users to trade IOUs representing HMSTR. Some exchanges list HMSTR IOUs on standard markets, while others offer HMSTR IOU trading via over-the-counter (OTC) transactions.
Hamster Kombat Airdrop on September 26
The Hamster Kombat airdrop will take place on September 26, the same day as the token generation event. While it is not yet known exactly how long it will take between the airdrop and the IPO, it would likely happen on the same day if we were to make a good guess.
The team behind the game has not made an official announcement about which exchanges will list the token first. However, we can draw some parallels with another popular Toncoin-based game that launched its own token, Notcoin, earlier this year. When the Notcoin token launched earlier this year, several major crypto exchanges listed it just days after TGE, including Binance, OKX, and Bybit. It’s worth noting that Notcoin allowed players to deposit their NOT balance for 30 days to earn additional rewards or withdraw their issued tokens to exchanges or Telegram wallets. It’s safe to assume that Hamster Kombat may handle the token distribution process in a similar manner.
When the token generation event takes place, Hamster Kombat HMSTR tokens will be sent to players based on the amount of in-game currency they hold, making this one of the most exciting airdrops of 2024.
Players can further increase their potential airdrop prize by completing quests. But first, you’ll need to connect your wallet where the airdropped tokens will be deposited after the token generation event.
Previously, the Hamster Kombat team planned to launch the airdrop in July 2024. However, there was a delay due to technical challenges from the game's large user base, and the airdrop date was confirmed by myself in late September.
